General blood tests

A complete blood count (CBC) is an important and frequently performed blood composition test that is used not only to diagnose health problems, but also as a preventive measure to assess a person’s overall health. The test includes an analysis of the amounts, volumes and shapes of erythrocytes, platelets and leucocytes – the main blood forming elements – as well as their distribution in the blood and the presence of other atypical cells.

BKT is particularly useful in the detection of various pathologies, including anaemia, various types of infections, allergies, as well as in the differentiation between inflammation of bacterial and viral origin. The test also indicates possible bleeding problems, blood diseases such as blood cancers, clotting disorders and other body conditions
